Answer: There are many benefits to listing your company. First, unlike many other directories, ours is completely free. Second, it is growing to be the largest directory of minority businesses and it will attract millions of new potential customers looking to buy from a minority owned business. Galaxy promotes this with significant advertising across the digital platforms. Third, having a huge website like Galaxy Directory link to your website can provide dramatic improvements in your search engine results (SEO); allowing many more people searching Google, Bing, Yahoo, and other search engines to find YOU. We believe this SEO benefit can amount to several hundred dollars in free SEO improvement to you.

Answer: Galaxy was created after Hidden Star had worked with thousands of minority and women entrepreneurs and had analyzed many of the common problems they faced. The four biggest challenges found were: 1. Minority entrepreneurs feel alone on their journey and want and need a safe way to interact with others in the same situation, 2. They don’t have a lot of money to spend starting a company, 3. They need resources and help from people they can trust to not take advantage of them, and 4. They want and need more revenue.
This Galaxy website has services and resources that address and help with all four of those issues. It is unlikely you will use all of them, but almost certainly there is something here that can help you.

Answer: If you open an account with us, we will send you an email each time we open a new grant opportunity. In addition we will post it on our social media accounts. You can also check back to this page to see current grants.

Yes, you can cancel your Galaxy Plus membership anytime. Please fill out the Contact Us form to do so.

The Galaxy Grant is a grant offered by Galaxy of Stars. You can apply by clicking this link. The Galaxy Grant is free to apply for, and takes about 30 seconds to do so.

Grant winners are contacted via the email they used to fill out the grant application. Once the winner is contacted, they have 48 hours to respond to the email. After that, we will select and contact a new winner. If we do not get a response from that winner, we will continue this process until we receive a response within the 48 hour window.

Featured businesses receive a post on our social media accounts, are featured on our weekly email, and are highlighted on the Galaxy Directory page.

Featured businesses are randomly selected from the directory listings that are filled out completely and comprehensively. Here are some tips to get your business featured:

• Make sure that your listing has images, in addition to your logo
• Make sure that your business description is detailed and gives the full information about the services your business provides or products it sells. The more details, the better!
• Fill out all fields on the listing form that apply to your business

For business listings created prior to September 2024: All business listings that were created in the Galaxy Directory prior to September 2024 need to be claimed in order to link them to your Galaxy account so that you can make edits or changes. To claim your business listing, click here. Once your business listing has been linked to your Galaxy of Stars account, follow the instructions below to make edits.

For business listings created after September 2024: If you created your business listing after September 2024, your account is already linked to your business listing. Follow the instructions to edit your listing:

1. Log into your Galaxy of Stars account
2. Go to your business listing page on the Galaxy Directory.
3. Click the button at the top that says “You are the owner of this listing. Click here to edit”

All business listings that were created in the Galaxy Directory prior to September 2024 need to be claimed in order to link them to your Galaxy account so that you can make edits or changes. To claim your business listing, click here.
