Founder's Story
The Wealthy Aunties™ grew from something I have witnessed throughout more than two decades as an entrepreneur, business coach, trainer and ecosystem builder: talented entrepreneurs often aren't lacking ambition, intelligence or ideas. They're lacking access.
After coaching and training more than 1,000 entrepreneurs and leaders, I've seen how much easier entrepreneurship becomes when you have someone to call for advice, an introduction or insight from experience. That kind of social capital isn't distributed equally, particularly for Black and historically under-resourced entrepreneurs.
I created The Wealthy Aunties Media to change that by bringing accomplished women across industries together to share their knowledge, relationships, experience and influence. The “wealth” is bigger than money. The Wealthy Aunties is my answer to gatekeeping: a media and community platform designed to make access something we intentionally create and share.
Business Description
The Wealthy Aunties Media™ is a Black woman-founded media and entrepreneurial community platform that connects entrepreneurs with the wisdom, expertise, resources and relationships of accomplished women across industries.
Through filmed brunch conversations, podcast and video content, live community experiences, “Dear Aunties” business questions, entrepreneur features and collaborative programming, The Wealthy Aunties turns social capital into a shared community resource. Our Aunties bring expertise in areas such as entrepreneurship, finance, real estate, marketing, insurance, leadership and business operations, offering practical insight entrepreneurs can actually use.
Our primary audience includes small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs, with an intentional focus on Black, underserved and historically under-resourced founders who often face greater barriers to information, networks and opportunity.
The Wealthy Aunties is being built as both a scalable media brand and an impact-driven entrepreneurial ecosystem. Our long-term model includes digital media, sponsorships and brand partnerships, live events, streaming distribution and strategic collaborations, allowing us to expand our reach while remaining rooted in our core mission: reducing gatekeeping and helping more entrepreneurs gain access to the knowledge, people and opportunities that can move them forward.
