The Serenity Ranch, located in the peaceful countryside of northeastern Connecticut, is a working horse ranch focused on rescuing and rehabilitating horses while fostering resilience and healing in individuals impacted by trauma, including Veterans. Our ranch is a safe haven where horses receive attentive care and a fulfilling retirement, while also serving as companions and therapeutic partners in our trauma recovery programs.
The Serenity Ranch is one of the only nonprofit organizations that provides “women-only programs.” Our organization is for women, run by women. We aim to provide assistance to women going through trauma and PTSD.
Our programs are offered to female Veterans at no cost to the participant. This all intensive, retreat style program groups individuals together with similar backgrounds therefore creating a support group environment.
In addition we provide individual horsemanship programs to children, teenagers and adults. These programs help build confidence, build resilience and allow the horses to do what they do best; help people.
In addition, The Serenity Ranch, is a premier event venue where events help support feeding our horses.
