Founder's Story

I didn't plan to become a wedding officiant. I started as a notary public in Miami, helping people with paperwork — the unglamorous but necessary stuff. But couples kept asking me: can you marry us too? And the more I said yes, the more I realized there was a real gap nobody was filling.

Miami has one of the largest Latino and immigrant communities in the country, and so many couples were stuck choosing between a cold courthouse visit or spending thousands on a full wedding they couldn't afford. I knew I could offer something in between — a real ceremony, in the language that felt like home, handled by someone who actually cares.

So I built The Notary Machine Weddings from scratch. No investors, no business degree, no roadmap. Just me, my notary license, a lot of miles driven, and a commitment to show up for every single couple like their day was the most important one I'd ever worked. Four years and 600+ ceremonies later — it was.

Founded by Donella Munoz, a certified wedding planner and licensed notary public with over 600 ceremonies performed in four years, we specialize in making the legal and emotional side of getting married simple, beautiful, and personal.

We offer bilingual ceremonies in English and Spanish — which matters deeply in a city like Miami, where so many couples want their vows spoken in the language that actually feels like home. What sets us apart is that we handle everything. From the moment a couple reaches out, we guide them through the marriage license process, write a personalized ceremony script that reflects their story, coordinate the event logistics, transport and set up decorative elements, provide professional sound equipment, and officiate the ceremony — all in one package. Our clients don’t have to hire five different vendors or stress about the details.

They come to us, and we take care of the rest, so the only thing they have to focus on is each other.

We serve a wide range of couples — from intimate elopements on the beach to coordinated ceremonies at private venues, parks, and event spaces across South Florida.

Many of our clients come from Miami’s large Latino and immigrant communities, and we are proud to be a business that genuinely reflects and serves that community.
