Business Description

Sand Dollar Soapery creates and sells skin products that are good for your skin and for the planet. Detergent, Paraben, Pthalate and Sulfate Free, our soaps, scrubs, and masks are scented with essential oils and colored with clays or natural ingredients such as clove and coffee.  Our soaps and scrubs are preservative free. We do not use ingredients common to skincare that are known irritants, such as Sodium Laureth Sulfate or Sodium Laureth Ester, even if they are labeled “safe” in “limited” use. We use only natural exfoliants including apricot seeds, loofah, sugar, and Himalayan Salt. Most of our products are vegan, including soaps with Aloe Vera,  Cocoa Butter, Mango Butter, and Olive Oil.  Anything with Honey or Goat’s Milk is not vegan but it is naturally sourced. If our product contains Palm Oil, it is Responsibly Sourced as defined by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). Palm Free soaps can be custom ordered.

We aim to create products and do business with less damage to the planet and all of the bodies that inhabit it: animal, human, air, land, sea. We do this by making natural products, using sustainable packaging, and reducing waste through running the business as e-commerce (and the occasional local market). We make every effort to buy local. Our ingredients and materials come from US businesses, especially small businesses. We are ALMOST plastic free! All of our packaging is recycled or recyclable. We shred paper label scraps instead of using bubble wrap or other shipping material. We use plant based, home compostable shrink wrap. 2024 should be the last year we have plastic wrap!
