what is headwear discrimination? the systemic bias and exclusion in hat design and availability that disproportionately impacts women and all genders with thick, textured hair and protective hairstyles.

how is rosebloom different? in a society that defaults to white men, rosebloom is the only headwear company designing for representation of women and all genders with type 3 and 4 hair. by building our styles with fit, style, fashion, and hair protection needs first, we have broken the barriers in accessible fashion.

we aren’t for everyone. rosebloom headwear is a new category of baseball headwear in a legacy industry that has been run by white men for 175 years. but they can’t design headwear styles for problems they’ve never had, like having a feminine head shape or having a protective hair style with too much volume to fit a traditional (we call them generic) hat.
