Founder's Story
I have worked in student transportation since 2005, beginning as a school bus driver in Minnesota and continuing in the industry after moving to Arizona. Through the years, I saw firsthand how much families and schools depend on transportation providers who are safe, reliable, and genuinely care about the children they serve.
That experience inspired me to start Phoenix Suburban Transportation with my daughter, Mia. Building this company together allows me to pass along what I have learned while helping her build a future of her own. We have formed the company, opened our business bank account, created our safety and operating plans, established our website, and begun completing the necessary registrations. Our next major step is securing our first compliant vehicle so we can begin serving the community.
Business Description
Phoenix Suburban Transportation is a 100% woman-owned and Black-owned student transportation company based in Laveen, Arizona. We are preparing to provide safe, dependable transportation for schools, students, and families throughout the Phoenix area. Our services will be especially helpful for students whose transportation needs may not fit a traditional large school-bus route.
Our company is being built on more than 20 years of student transportation experience, with safety, reliability, clear communication, and personal care at the center of every trip. We plan to begin with a small fleet of compliant yellow student transportation vehicles and grow responsibly as we earn the trust of local schools and families—one school, one family, and one safe trip at a time.
