Founder's Story

Growing up, I didn't often see people who looked like me owning businesses in the jewelry space, but I knew our culture had always influenced it. Grillz, in particular, hold a special cultural significance in the Black community. They're a form of self-expression, creativity, and a symbol of success. I started my business because I wanted to be part of the legacy while helping change the way people view grillz. Too often, they're associated with negative stereotypes, when in reality they're wearable art. As a full-time college student, I turned my passion into a successful business through investing in my knowledge, developing my craft, and building Pearled By Ari LLC from the ground up. My goal is to make high-quality custom grillz more accessible and help elevate the conversation around them.

Business Description

Pearled By Ari LLC is a Black woman-owned custom jewelry business based in Columbia, South Carolina, specializing in custom grillz. What started as a creative outlet has grown into a business dedicated to helping people express themselves through high-quality jewelry. At Pearled By Ari, every piece is designed with the customer’s vision in mind, creating custom designs that reflect their style, personality, and confidence.

Grillz have been a meaningful part of Black culture and, unfortunately, are often unfairly associated with negative stereotypes. Pearled By Ari was created to help change that narrative. We believe grillz are wearable art, and we’re committed to honoring their cultural significance while bringing professionalism, craftsmanship, and innovation to the industry.

As a young entrepreneur and full-time college student, I built Pearled By Ari with a vision of increasing representation in the luxury jewelry space. My goal is to make custom jewelry more accessible while maintaining the quality and attention to detail that every customer deserves. As the business grows, we plan to expand into custom chains, watches, and other luxury jewelry, continuing our mission to celebrate creativity while building a brand that our community can be proud of.
