Business Description
Patina Porch is a destination bar located on the west end in Sandusky, OH, on the water’s edge of Mills Creek. At Patina Porch you will find a laid-back public space perfect for meeting old and new friends or relaxing alone, where you can enjoy the peaceful view of the marshland and migrating flocks of birds, while being served from our extensive drink menu and light fare.
Choose from handcrafted cocktails, domestic and micro- brewed beer, seltzers, smoothies, and hot or cold coffee. Many of our cocktails, mocktails, and smoothies are made from fruits and herbs collected from the onsite Patina Creek Gardens.
Patina Porch is accessible by foot, bike, golf cart, car, and eventually small watercrafts such as kayak, paddleboard, jet skis, and fishing boats, all that can enter the creek from the Sandusky Bay. Patina Porch is located on the Patina Creek property on the westside stretch of the Sandusky Bay Bike Path, about a mile from Downtown Sandusky. Open year-round.
Patina Creek is an historic property that borders the marsh of Mills Creek that features a venue space available for renting: large enough to host artist markets, weddings and reception parties, and private and corporate events. The venue and property are owned and operated by Ben and Heather Byington, a pair of true visionaries who bring together salvaged materials from historic buildings to create artistic and relaxing spaces that absolutely must be seen to be described. Everything is for sale, including some rare architectural salvage finds. Patina Creek has a garden with over 50 varieties of fruits, vegetables, and herbs that are cared for by the Byington’s and Plant & the Potter. Plant & the Potter maintains the greenhouses where we grow house plants and herbs that we sell on the property. Mantiques Art Gallery also has space in Patina Creek where they sell art: where modern and vintage intersect.
