Founder's Story
My entrepreneurial journey started with seeing how many people were suffering in silence and realizing traditional healthcare was missing the bigger picture. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I saw patients struggling with weight, hormones, anxiety, depression, and trauma, yet they were often treated in pieces instead of as whole people.
I first built Mind, Body, Spirit Reformers, which later evolved into Optimal Weight Loss Institute. As my practice grew, I rebranded and expanded into psychiatry, creating Optimal Psychiatry to bridge mental health and physical wellness.
Today, I am double board-certified in family and psychiatric care, helping women, children, and families heal through holistic, trauma-informed healthcare.

Our goal is to treat the root cause—not just the symptoms—by recognizing the strong connection between mental and physical health.
Led by Bertha Osorio-Campbell, a double board-certified family and psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 15 years of clinical experience, our practice combines evidence-based medicine with a holistic approach that considers mind, body, and lifestyle factors. We offer psychiatric evaluations, medication management, therapy-informed treatment planning, functional medicine guidance, hormone support, medical weight loss programs, and evaluations for children who may need services such as ADHD support, developmental referrals, school accommodations, or Unique Abilities Scholarship documentation.
We accept both insurance and self-pay patients and offer in-person appointments in Oakland Park, Florida, as well as telehealth services across the state of Florida.
