After spending more than a decade working hourly jobs in warehouses and distribution centers, Lisa Thompson knew firsthand how important reliable transportation was to keeping businesses running. She watched trucks arrive late, shipments get delayed, and companies struggle to find dependable freight partners.

Determined to create a better solution, Lisa used her savings to purchase her first used box truck and launched Next Mile Logistics in 2021. She started by making local deliveries herself, often working 12-hour days while building relationships with small businesses.

Through hard work, determination, and a commitment to exceptional service, Lisa gradually expanded her operations. Today, Next Mile Logistics operates a growing fleet of trucks, employs professional drivers, and serves commercial customers throughout the Southeast.
