Business Description

Mover of Mountains empowers families in underserved communities through transformative leadership development and vocational skills training. Through comprehensive programmes aimed at youth, adults, and vulnerable populations, we are addressing low graduation (81.3% on-time) and college enrollment rates (41% expected to graduate), 12.1% youth disconnection, limited access to mental health services (20% face challenges), and systemic social/economic inequalities in Broward County.

Mover of Mountains operates with dual customer segments:

Primary Stakeholders (institutional partners including municipal leadership, educational administrators, rehabilitation centers, reentry organizations, and anti-trafficking organizations)

Direct Program Recipients (diverse populations including students, young adults, individuals in recovery, formerly incarcerated individuals, and human trafficking survivors).

Service delivery includes trauma-informed programming, measurable impact tracking, and sustainable support structures focusing on reintegration and recovery support. Our programs reveal the inherent treasure in each participant and inspire them to envision dreams beyond the constraints of their lived experience and/or socioeconomic boundaries.

The company was founded in 2015 in Manchester, UK. The founder, Hyacinth Harley, relocated to Oslo, Norway, where she successfully continued the work of Mover of Mountains before relocating to Florida and establishing the latest iteration of M.O.M. in Broward County in 2024.
