Founder's Story

At Living Optimally Therapy, we believe that emotional wellness is built through connection, not perfection.
Many individuals and families seek therapy after months or years of silently carrying stress, conflict, anxiety, or emotional pain. While therapy can be transformative, we believe healing is most effective when it extends beyond symptom reduction to include stronger relationships, practical life skills, and deeper self-understanding.
Our work is guided by neuroscience, attachment theory, family systems thinking, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches. We recognize that emotional regulation, secure relationships, and supportive environments are foundational to long-term mental health.
We also believe education is prevention. By providing parents, caregivers, schools, and communities with practical tools and knowledge, we can help reduce stigma, strengthen resilience, and promote healthier family relationships before challenges become crises.
Our commitment is to serve as both

Business Description

Living Optimally Therapy is a relationship-centered mental health practice dedicated to strengthening individuals, couples, children, adolescents, and families through compassionate, evidence-based care. Founded by Dionne Frank, LCSW, the practice integrates psychotherapy, parent education, family support, and community outreach to address the growing emotional and relational challenges facing today’s families.

Serving Bergen County and surrounding New Jersey communities, Living Optimally Therapy specializes in helping parents, children, adolescents, couples, and families navigate life’s most difficult transitions while building stronger, healthier relationships. The practice provides individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, parenting support, ADHD-focused services, and high-conflict co-parenting interventions using evidence-based approaches grounded in neuroscience, attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, and family systems principles.

Beyond clinical services, Living Optimally Therapy is committed to prevention and education. Through workshops, parent training, school partnerships, and community programming, the organization seeks to equip families with practical skills that promote emotional resilience, improve communication, and strengthen relationships before challenges escalate into crisis.

Living Optimally Therapy believes that lasting emotional wellness begins with connection, emotional safety, and accessible mental health care. By combining clinical excellence with community engagement, the organization strives to improve the well-being of families across New Jersey while reducing barriers to quality behavioral health services.
