For 32 years, I served on the funder's side of the table — rising from Management and Program Analyst to Contracting Officer at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, holding a $750,000 warrant and stewarding a portfolio exceeding $120 million. Yet my decades of volunteer leadership across the Washington, D.C. region revealed my calling: devoted nonprofits losing funding not for lack of merit, but for lack of readiness. I founded KM Management Solutions, LLC to bridge that gap — offering small nonprofits the funder's perspective through my Nonprofit Funding Readiness Intensive, delivered by AI-enabled systems that make enterprise-grade strategy genuinely affordable. Founded by Dr. Karen Michelle Fenner following 32 years of federal service — including years as a Contracting Officer at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, where she held a $750,000 warrant and managed a contract portfolio exceeding $120 million — the firm brings something rare to grant consulting: the funder’s perspective.
