Founder's Story

I started JP Augustin Law Firm in 2015 because I wanted to be present for my two daughters (now 21 and 25) and provide affordable services for members of the community. Being a single parent meant I needed flexibility in my work schedule. Working for a traditional firm would not have provided the flexibility I needed to attend my children's school functions, do homework with them and basically be a present mom for all the milestone moments in their lives. Having my solo practice made it possible to be present for my girls. Additionally, I also noticed that there was a gap to access to legal services by middle-class families. There are plenty of legal resources for those who fall below the middle-class income. Those whose incomes are above the middle-class income can easily afford attorney services. However, middle class families do not always have the capital needed to obtain legal services and so they end up representing themselves in Court or forgoing legal services.

JP Augustin Law Firm is a boutique style law firm that offers clients individualized professional services in the areas of Family, Immigration and Estate Planning Law. JP Augustin Law Firm recognizes that each client is unique with unique legal issues. Not every case is the same even if dealing with the same issues because each client brings their own characteristics and needs to the table. Therefore, each client receives specialized tailored services that are suitable for meeting their specific legal needs.
