JLCA Firm was established to address the need of legacy planning within communities of color. Our mission is to protect families, brands, property, and bar licensure—key areas that have been impacted by historical and systematic injustices such as racism, genocide, and slavery. Our goal is to create equitable opportunities for communities of color, allowing them to thrive and secure their legacies in comparison to those who predominantly own companies, property, and influence laws in this country.

We serve and partner with individuals who desire to leave their hard-earned assets to their families, ensure the sustainability of their businesses, and who aim to increase the representation of African-Americans in the legal profession. We recognize that affordability has been a significant barrier to accessing these services. Our objective is to change that narrative, enabling people of color to retain their valuable assets for generations, maintain successful businesses without needing to sell or re-brand, and to utilize their licensure to drive meaningful change.
