Her Movement Inc, believes that children are the very essence of the future. Who they are tomorrow is essentially the outcome of how they are raised and nurtured today. Her Movement Inc is a nonprofit organization that is structured to allow teenagers to find their safety zone, build confidence, and develop helpful life skills. Her Movement implements Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs as a way to modify mental developmental growth. The ultimate mission is to encourage and educate at-risk teenage girls on how to become effective leaders, develop confidence, create positive life choices as well as use their voices and talents to help achieve their maximum life potential.

Services are for female teenagers between the ages of 13 -24. The mentor will provide services for the mentee every year until the mentee ages out of the program. Mentor services are offered in a group setting and require the teens to volunteer, fundraise, maintain a C average in school, and attend monthly empowerment meetings. (The services are free.)

Objectives include meeting frequently throughout the month and participating in activities for example; volunteering together, going to the theater, exercising, college tours, hosting seminars; supporting the child in life goals and milestones; being an advocate for the child, and support the values of the parent/guardian.
