Artist Bio:

Currently based in Portage and proud native to Gary Indiana, artist Teneia Dilosa has been designing handcrafted acrylic artwork since she went from campus to canvases back in 2016. As a once aspiring pharmacist, Teneia has channeled her love for inspiring others into a powerful journey that breathes life into and through art.

Formerly known for having a “play-it-safe” approach to life, Teneia left the PharmD program with only two years left to earn her doctorate. After uncovering her desire for entrepreneurship through a then budding partnership and re-igniting her desire for ministry and artwork, she knew a bold change was necessary.

Teneia challenges the assumed dichotomy of creativity and analytics by pairing her naturally detail-oriented nature with the flow of acrylics to bring her mental and digital sketches to life. Her work invites all to appreciate the necessary simplicity of lines, shapes, and organic forms as the fundamental basis for all that we see in nature and designed objects. With a passion for picking up her cross (and paintbrushes) and refusing to be a light under a bushel, you’re invited to explore her work directly from the heart, to your canvas.
