Founder's Story
Hi, my name is Angela Garner, and I am the founder and CEO of Empower Home Care, LLC. My experience has been in the healthcare industry for the last 35 years. Caring for people is something I have been doing since my family members needed help, and my passion.
Creating Empower Home Care is a chance to allow this passion to grow and help others. Our company focuses on being a licensed homemaker-companion agency in the State of Connecticut, preparing us to serve persons with disabilities and seniors through companionship and everyday support in their homes.
I have made incredible efforts to build our business, starting with licensing and other needs. We are now opening our first client services, and I am enthusiastic about helping by providing homemaker services for those who want to be safe and comfortable while staying at home and being able to take care of themselves.
Business Description
Empower Home Care LLC is a licensed non-medical homemaker-companion agency. Our primary mission is to provide high-quality care for seniors as well as adults with disabilities living in the comfort of their homes. I have worked in the healthcare field for the past 35 years, caring for some of the most vulnerable members of our society. I believe strongly in making a difference in people’s lives by listening closely and learning their needs and desires to take care of them in a dignified and professional manner. This philosophy will be the foundation of my business, Empower Home Care.
Empower Home Care offers a wide range of companion services to seniors, including help with errands, grocery shopping, meal preparation and feeding assistance, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and other services to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment. Above all, we want to understand their needs and desires, as well as those activities they can manage on their own. We want to support our clients and help them be as independent as possible – that is our goal. Families can rely on our professional caregivers providing companionship services to their loved ones, making it possible for them to continue to age in place.
We are now preparing to open our doors to the community and serve the New Haven area. We want to establish our presence in the local market and build our network of care providers to better serve our clients’ needs. I hope to empower this agency to become a preferred care provider for seniors, adults with disabilities, and their families in the communities we serve in Connecticut.
