Business Description

Disrupt Media is an arts education nonprofit that empowers youth of color to disrupt and transform the media landscape by utilizing their powerful narratives. Our vision is to strengthen and push the creative boundaries of youth of color in order to equip them with the tools necessary to go out in the world and create a better place for themselves and future generations. We strive to engage youth through artistic and creative expression, academic enrichment and community engagement to ensure the youth’s success artistically, academically, and professionally.

We collaborate with local schools and organizations to deliver curriculum-aligned, film centric workshops that seamlessly integrate with students’ academic journeys through arts- focused instruction, integration and exposure. Our curriculum focuses on community engagement & development and how as individuals build relationships to support the entire ecosystem that leads to collective liberation and sustainability through diligent action.
