Founder's Story

For as long as I can remember, I've found joy in bringing people together to celebrate life's most meaningful moments. Before launching Designer Occasions by Rose, I was the person family, friends, and my church trusted to plan celebrations that were thoughtfully organized and beautifully designed.

The defining moment came in 2020 when my stepdaughter's University of West Alabama graduation ceremony was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. My husband built a stage in our front yard, and together we transformed our home into a graduation venue that turned disappointment into a memory our family will never forget.

That experience inspired me to create Designer Occasions by Rose, a business dedicated to helping families, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders celebrate life's most important milestones with confidence and care.

Designer Occasions by Rose, LLC is a Black-owned, woman-owned event planning, event design, and event management company based in Birmingham, Alabama, specializing in weddings, corporate events, nonprofit events, milestone celebrations, and community events throughout Birmingham and the surrounding communities. Founded by Rose D’Errico, the company was built on the belief that every milestone deserves thoughtful planning, disciplined execution, and exceptional attention to detail. Whether serving families, businesses, nonprofit organizations, schools, or community leaders, Designer Occasions by Rose creates memorable experiences that allow clients to enjoy their special occasions while every detail is professionally managed.

Our services begin with a complimentary consultation to understand each client’s vision, goals, budget, and priorities. From there, we develop a customized planning strategy that guides every stage of the event from concept to completion. We provide full-service event planning, wedding planning and coordination, month-of coordination, corporate event planning, nonprofit and community event planning, event design and décor, vendor coordination, logistics planning, timeline development, setup and breakdown, and on-site event management. Every event is supported by structured planning systems and a trusted network of venues, caterers, photographers, florists, bakers, DJs, rental companies, and other event professionals who share our commitment to excellence.
