Business Description

Daughters of Both Suns is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Black and Latina women through trauma-informed mental health care, advocacy, and holistic support. We provide bilingual (English/Spanish) services designed to break down barriers to healing and ensure that women of color have access to culturally competent, affordable therapy and crisis care. Our core programs include the Sanar Fund, which connects women to free or low-cost therapy sessions, Healing Circles that create safe spaces for shared growth and resilience, and Resource Navigation to link women with critical services such as housing, food, legal assistance, reproductive health, and wellness care.

Beyond direct support, we are committed to building systemic change by partnering with therapists, community organizations, and healthcare providers to expand access to care. Through education, collaboration, and advocacy, we strive to dismantle stigmas around mental health in communities of color while creating pathways to equity and healing. At Daughters of Both Suns, we believe every woman deserves the opportunity to heal, thrive, and be seen—not just for her struggles, but for her strength and potential.
