Business Description

Beautiful, hand-knotted rugs and runners based on the Matisse Cutouts, available at www.MatisseCutouts.com. The rugs are hand-knotted in Nepal of 100 knot New Zealand wool or NZ wool and natural silk. There are 14 designs to start in two different sizes, and custom designs and sizes are available. We have been producing fine rugs for 26 years. We have done collections for the Gee’s Bend Quilters, the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, and our work has been shown and sold at over 25 US museums. We received an award from the US Commerce Department for being a small, woman-owned company that has exported to six continents. We were invited to show out work in Venice by the European Cultural Centre during the Biennale. Our rugs are at the Eisenhower Residence at Gettysburg, Longfellow House in Massachusetts where George Washington stayed in 1775, in Eleanor Roosevelt’s bedroom at Hyde Park, at the Hampton NHS, and at the Philip Schuyler House.
