Known for her creations in the visual arts field, Uruguayan born artist Cecilia Taibo Rahban brings her vision and sensitivity to jewelry design. She has chosen stainless steel, chain maille in particular, as the medium for her jewelry brand, as it embodies the qualities she wishes to inspire: elegance and boldness, fluidity and strength, for her pieces to be grounding yet airy; she presents us with delicate jewelry pieces that are steel strong. Her signature design: “Steel Pearl” was introduced at the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach as part of the Women’s Day Festival: “Empowerment through the Arts,” then featured along with My Art Story at the National Endowment for the Arts website. This design has been showcased at international art exhibitions; among others: Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA, World Art Dubai, Orange County Center for Contemporary Art and M.A.D. (Moda Arte Design) Gallery Milano in Milan.
