Business Description
Welcome to Broom & Brush! I’m Ariel, and I am a self-taught artist who specializes in micro-painting with acrylic.
From penny-sized pendants to wall-length canvas, my creations are packed with detail that dazzles. Each piece has a soul, if you believe in that kind of thing.
My current selection of wearable wonders can be purchased in-store at Flower Fist Art Market Art Market. Keep an eye out for Broom & Brush at Santa Cruz Art League, A Seat at the Table Books, and Makers of Rocklin!
For questions regarding Commissions, please send me a direct message (IG@BroomxBrush) or an email (arielgalleryonline@gmail.com). The general rule for Broom & Brush commissions is 20% of the item’s total + item total. No portraits and no ceramic work at this time (unless you have a really exciting idea, I’m easily persuaded).
A little more about me, what I do, and why I do it:
I painted for the first time on December 27, 2020 after my brother gave me a beginner’s set of acrylics. What began as art therapy for coping with C-PTSD and a psychotic disorder quickly blossomed into over 600 completed paintings and a steadily growing small business! I have since been published, had a TV appearance, and featured in a local gallery, as well as local storefronts. I am thrilled to continue learning and growing from the people I meet and the things I paint.
My work primarily focuses on light and texture while reflecting on my connection to the world around me (as well as the one on my head). Painting gives me purpose, and people seem to really like the things that come out of that.
Broom & Brush is a diverse-owned business (LGBTQ+ woman with a psychiatric disability, mixed race — AAPI)
