Business Description

Black in Toys™ is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to creating a thriving community for Black toy and game creators, children’s product designers, and authors. Our mission is to elevate, support, and connect Black professionals and creators within the toy and children’s product industries while fostering opportunities for learning, collaboration, and representation. We aim to spotlight the incredible contributions of Black innovators while providing educational resources to inspire the next generation of toy industry leaders.

At Black in Toys, we offer programs, events, and initiatives designed to celebrate and empower our community. From networking events like our annual PLAYDate, where creators and professionals can connect, to our Black in Toys Christmas Gift Buying Guide, which promotes toys, games, and books created by Black innovators, our work is rooted in amplifying representation. We also prioritize education through workshops, mentorship opportunities, and initiatives aimed at introducing children and young adults to the toy industry. By blending advocacy, education, and celebration, Black in Toys is creating an ecosystem that ensures Black voices and stories are celebrated in every corner of the toy and game industry.
