Business Description

Award winning artist, Sandra J Quintus, offers faux finishes, hand troweled plaster, and murals for the distinguished home, business, organization, or community. Her training at the Faux Finish Institute, New York Art Students League, and various renowned artists, has given her unique set of skills that allows her to provide a wide range of artistic services.

She started her company, “Artistic Walls by Sandra” in 2001.   Soon she was commissioned to paint 6 fine art murals for the Clear Lake Public Library that took a year and a half to complete. The results won awards from international judges at Fauxcademy in Las Vegas, NV.  To quote one of the judges, Michel Nadai (Best Craftsman of France), it was her “beautiful figurative work” that won her the 1st Place Mural Trophy.  Among other awards and accolades, she was awarded the American Painting Contractor Magazine Top Job in Decorative Painting for a 3-month project including a 13×20′ trompe l’oeil ceiling mural.  She is adept at and duplicating wood grains and other patinas, allowing inconsistent surfaces to be matched. And as a colorist, she offers consultations that can often save the customer costly design mistakes.
