Animation Discovery Studio (ADS) is a Detroit-based creative educational company that specializes in providing dynamic animation and storytelling workshops for students of all ages. Founded by Briaca Duesette, ADS focuses on engaging students in hands-on learning experiences that combine creativity with technical skills. Our programs are designed to enhance students’ knowledge in the fields of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) by using animation as a medium to explore important concepts in physics, digital design, and storytelling. We aim to empower students to express themselves, develop problem-solving skills, and build emotional intelligence through interactive and enjoyable learning experiences.

At Animation Discovery Studio, we offer a variety of workshops and programs that cater to students from grades 3 to 12, including Animation Intro 101 and Beyond the Sketch. These programs focus on introducing young learners to the world of animation while fostering self-expression and collaboration. In addition to our curriculum, we integrate Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), encouraging students to communicate their ideas confidently and work together in teams. ADS also partners with community organizations, schools, and tech programs to bring these educational experiences to underserved students, ensuring that every child has access to the tools and resources needed to explore their creative potential in animation and digital arts.
