Founder's Story

I’m Keayona Thomas, founder of ALT Legacy.

Before launching ALT Legacy, I held senior roles at two organizations that sit at the center of the NEMT ecosystem, a nonprofit NEMT brokerage and a Medicaid managed care organization serving complex health plan populations.

That combination is rare. Most consultants in this space have seen one side. I’ve worked inside both, reviewing what brokers require, what health plans flag, and what providers face on the ground every day.

The populations I served across Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Pennsylvania had no margin for system failures. Their ability to access care depended on operations working correctly.

I didn’t start ALT Legacy to offer general consulting advice. I started it because I watched the same operational breakdowns repeat across providers and I knew exactly what was causing them and how to fix them.

That experience is the foundation of every engagement at ALT Legacy.
