Founder's Story

I meant to buy one storage unit.

I bought three.

I still don't fully know how it happened. Somewhere between the auction, the paperwork, and me confidently nodding like I knew what I was doing, I signed myself up for way more than I bargained for.

Most people would've panicked.

I did. A little.

Gary just gave me *the look.*

If you know Gary, you know the look. The one that says *"how did you manage this?"* without him ever actually saying it — because he already knows asking will only make the story longer.

And to make things even better: we didn't have a trailer.

We had to borrow one from Gary's best friend, Sam, just to make this disaster logistically possible.

Oh — and the units? An hour and twenty minutes south of us.

So not only had I accidentally bought three storage units, I had also signed us up for a road trip, a borrowed trailer, and a full day of questioning every decision that led us here.

Business Description

It started with a storage unit auction where i won 1 unit and accidently accepted 2 more for free, all 3 being an hour away. After we made back all of my money by scrapping and having a garage sale we still had a lot of inventory left. All the things that were happening between my boyfriend and i throughout that whole process was very hilarious to me so I decided to start a blog on substack. The blog was formally supposed to be about comedy relationships and age gap relationships. From there, I decided to start building an online store to help me get rid of all the vintage and thrifted things. I really enjoyed the whole process of the auction scene, so I then got into the real estate auctions. So why not make it a whole thing? I enjoy doing it. And, it’s the kind of work I don’t dread doing. Gary helps with getting  all the things home. I then decided to make some digital products to throw on my store, as well, which then led to some thrifty droppshipping as well. In the near future I am going to build (with Gary’s help of course) a pop up thrift stand for the local treasure hunters.
