Founder's Story

Hillary Williams grew up on the tiny island of Jamaica. She was the fourth of five children and the third of three sisters. Hillary and her sisters migrated to the United States in 1983, leaving her father and brothers in Jamaica.
Despite being a high school drop-out, Hillary pursued an associate degree in childhood education after the loss of her daughter. After migrating to the United States, Hillary obtained her GED and started a college degree program in computer science. Hillary’s journey toward higher education was almost derailed after a failed marriage that left her as a single parent.
Hillary was driven by a desire to exceed expectations and to help others through her example. She enrolled in college when her son, Tyler, turned 14. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in IT, an MBA and a Doctorate in Business Administration. Regardless of the challenges and pitfalls in her life, Hillary trusted God to turn her tests into a dynamic testimony.

After The Hurt International LLC is a startup nonprofit organization committed to helping individuals and families overcome emotional pain, trauma, rejection, grief, abandonment, and personal hardship.

The organization was established to address the growing need for accessible emotional wellness support and community-centered healing services within underserved populations. The organization focuses on providing holistic support that addresses emotional, spiritual, relational, and personal recovery.

The mission of After the Hurt International LLC is to restore hope, strengthen resilience, and empower individuals to rebuild healthy and productive lives after experiencing emotional hardship and trauma.

The organization operates with grassroots, community-driven approach and is dedicated to building sustainable healing resources that create long-term positive impact.
