Founder's Story
After a decade in management consulting and corporate program management, Ju became a caregiving partner for her grandparents following her grandfather's dementia diagnosis. She still remembers her grandmother's quiet confession: "I don't really know what to do with your grandpa every day. Just meeting his physical needs is already mentally exhausting."
Searching for high-quality tools to keep her grandfather engaged, Ju found the options limited and often undignified. she built Aegeliss — starting with a simple 12-piece puzzle that her grandfather spent days completing, and that her grandmother enjoyed just as much.
Ju trained in Montessori principles for dementia care, volunteered weekly at an adult day center program, and spent months listening to caregivers and people living with dementia before designing. The result is a growing line of tools built on evidence-based practice and tested by the people who use them.

Aegeliss designs evidence-based, Montessori-inspired visual supports and engagement activity products for people living with dementia, cognitive impairment and the people who care for them. Founded in 2024, the company creates practical, dignified-first and modern solutions to the juvenile or clinical-feeling products that have long dominated eldercare — including dementia-inclusive jigsaw puzzles, an adjustable bamboo stand for comfortable, strain-free engagement, and The Familiar Space home and routine labels that turn daily tasks into simple, visual steps.
Every product is developed in partnership with the Center for Applied Research in Dementia (CARD), the leading authority on Montessori dementia care, and is reviewed and tested by people living with dementia themselves. Aegeliss’s five-pillar design philosophy centers on strengths-based engagement: tools built around what a person can still do, supporting-flow-like engagement.
